I'm heatbroken about Michael's death, being one of my best friends. Temperamentally, as good as they come.  Recently retired, highly esteemed and awarded, in his medical profession, particularly as founder and head of Beaumont's Speech Pathology, Department. With his future wife. the incomparable Janice Klinger Rolnick, a romance started as teenagers at Mumford, bloomed into a lifelong marriage and family, of 2 children and two grandchildren - all crazy about him. Many good friends, a staunch Democrat, with generous contributions to match, on all levels of government. A man of character, ethics and good will. Captain of his pontoon on Cass Lake, a gifted photographer, with Jan a lover of theater, and happily enjoyed their winter place, in Jupiter FL. I loved this buddy, beyond all words.

I'm not entirely sure, but I think I shared my Bar Mitsvoh with Michael at Beth Aron on Wyoming in 1955, way before attending Mumford. If we were in the same Bar Mitsvoh, I remember I had the Hebrew part and he had the English part, just my luck. If anyone can tell me if I am right I would appreciate it. I really wasn't friends with Michael at Mumford, but remember talking to him occasionally. Gary Frenkel
