Billy and I went to MacDowell Elem. together. We hung out at the 50th reunion. As I remember he was living in the Bay area. He had a really active mind.
I considered Bill to be my best friend at Mumford. We lived two blocks apart and saw each other daily. He was very outgoing and I was quite shy and he insisted on curing me of this by getting me into awkward situations, usually involving pretty young ladies, and showing me that just being open and honest would ulltimately be the cure... took me a long time! He went to Michigan and I went to MSU and we only saw each other occasionally, I went to U of D Dental School and, after his mother died and his dad moved to the Bay area, he became a part time student at Stanford and part time self-taught musician playing piano in a variety of bars near the campus around Palo Alto. I moved to Oregon and only saw him occasionally after that, but we had a lifetime bond and I will miss him deeply.
